About me: I live in Dallas, Tx with my husband. We have a multigenerational household with my mom. We have three dogs, Watson, Aiden and Jagger. I work at as a data scientist in the healthcare industry. My favorite colors are apple green, teal, and purple. I also love sunset colors of red, orange and yellow.
Hobbies: I enjoy knitting, watercolor painting, urban sketching and going to the movies. The last movies I saw were Superman, Jurassic Park, and F1. I belong to a ladies scifi bookclub. It is a lot of fun to read and chat about the books each month. The last book we read was Project Hail Mary, next is the third in the Murderbot Series (So good if you haven't read it.) For TV shows, I love love Ted Lasso, so excited it is back for a new season. Can't wait for the next season of Severance. I've also been enjoying the Dexter series revivals and the new season of Foundation. Oh, and Nobody Wants This, can't wait for the second season!
My husband loves anime, so I've gotten into watching some of his shows too. My favorites are Danadan, One Punch Man, Campfire Cooking in Another World and the one about the guy who was reincarnated as a vending machine--unexpected but funny.
I LOVE stickers. I don't feel like there are enough uses for stickers in adult life. I have a small collection and put them on cards, my computer, car, bottle, etc. If you have some suggestions for other places to use stickers, let me know!
Why I joined Swap-bot
I love sending and receiving mail. I collect interesting cards and postcards. I send cards to my friend a couple of times a year besides the usual holidays like xmas and galentines. When I was a kid, I paricipated in the penpal programs we had in school. It was a lot of fun sending and receiving letters and learning all about people in other parts of the country and world.
I've done a couple of swaps now and have really enjoyed picking out the cards to send and so enjoyed the ones I have received!
I love fun stamps! My favorites this year have been the dinosaur and pinata stamps that came out. Oh and Betty White!
I love receiving funny cards and postcards, unexpected designs, clever, or creative and abstract. Homemade always welcome! I handpainted all of my xmas cards last year. Still trying to decide on a design to do for this year.
I enjoy hearing about what's going on in your day, what you are thinking about or reading, recent or upcoming travels are a good topic. Sketches are great too. I'm in my local Urban Sketching chapter and getting better over time.
