9/16/26 ~ everything assigned was walked down to the lock box today. Wanted to yesterday but boy howdy was the weather having a fit! Didn’t want happy mail to get wet which would have happened just putting it in the box with sideways rain. Wet happy mail is sad mail and everything was still getting out in time. 9/11/26~ finished canning yesterday…2 days with no problems loading swap-bot sight Aug/Sep 2026 ~ Been trying to check in every day…it gets from Alaska to Portland, Oregon and doesn’t quite make it to swap-bot. So far I’ve gotten all 3 swaps this year out on time. Am waiting for feedback to start showing up for last month’s swaps and this.

Hopefully this resolves soon! I’ll be able to check more then 1x a day when I’m done smoking my outhouse sized smoker full of salmon and canning it. Have items prepared for the 2 swaps I’m waiting for partners and just need yo personalize and address envelopes. I’ll be done before partners are assigned…

Advent: most have 25 days. Me, being Orthodox Christian...we have 40. Thus the signing up for or hosting copious amounts of advent swaps. Am a paper crafter and would love little surprises weather they are supplies or something you made… a fun pice of paper (One of my favorites is a 1875 Spanish dictionary) Scrapbooking stickers Piece of a snipet roll Punched out shapes (We all have different punches) Used postage stamps expecially foreign or old Vintage Ephemera 1980 or older Foreign Text ATCs Inchies Tags Clusters …you get the idea.

I'm a crafter and mostly sign up for swaps to make things... even if a swap says store bought…if you feel inspired to make something because of my profile I won’t rate down for that. I’m mostly on here for creative swaps, occasionally another swap calls out to me. There have been times I wished I could make something because I could make better and more than I could afford to buy because of similar likes and/or already having supplies on hand for a prior swap.

Brave Girls Club ~ proud member from back in the day. Found Melody Ross online classes looking for inspiration for an ATC swap on here. Took her classes while I saved up to to get Certified to teach them. 3 business name changes and over a dekaid of dreaming March 2026 dreams came true and I flew down to Utah and am the 1st BGC & Soul Road Master Certified Teacher in Alaska. BGC is nolonger just for the ladies they started tailoring some of the classes and retreats for men as well some time before Covid. When I was certified we had 2 guys getting certified as well…gal teach gals and guys teach guys unless it’s a coed group.

As my children are preparing to launch into this world I’m getting started teaching. Weather it’s just volunteer, part of a day job or as a business remains to be seen. Lots of dreams and ideas, exciting to see where it goes! Those of us taking the classes free refer to it as our Art Therapy but I learned the week before I flew down you need a College Degree to market it as that. Honestly I’d rather volunteer with those who can’t afford to pay for the classes than go to college at this point in my life, lol!

Japan ~ my aunts have been missionaries there 1 longer than I’ve been alive. Made it to her 50th Anniversary Dec 2025 for my first trip/visit. Am not so much for the kitschy of my childhood like Sanrio, Kawii and like like…more of the artisan, handmade, craft supplies and treats I found in my trip. Rationing out my candy and fruit still. Have milk bottles filled with dry Mikan peels from my trip that I’m adding to tea and coffee. Their hard candy tastes a million times better than ours.

WIP am working on updating my likes as I participate in new swaps after removing all the outdated info 🤪

Dislikes: cinnamon scented anything, onions, Scarry Halloween, sculls (unless medical journal in decoupage...)

Don't need:
ATC card covers. Pickled up thousands of them dirt cheep.
ATC backgrounds... Kids should stickers

I used to pen pal lots but am more on the crafty side, weather I can write a long letter tends to be determined by how much we have in common.

I have a box of PCs and would love to include one our more in our swap. Most probably considered vintage even the new looking ones because they were purchased in the 90s through 10’s

My PC likes: I collect one’s address to me. New ones go in the outgoing box which hasn’t seen much activity in a dekaid.

Once I had to bow out of a year long bday swap due to my grandma dying…many people recieved from me but nobody sent to me. The gossip after that and my brittle diabetic sister and 3 remaining grandparents constantly in and out of the hospital is why I took a long break from swaping. Now all my grandparents are dead as of March.

I will always make a swap right and like to send extras if and when I can.

my one bad rating The original was sent on time but returned when I was at the hospital with a family member we thought was dying. Even with the item being readdressed and sent right back out (I never flaked) the rating was never fixed.

‘You never said you were sending late…’ because I didn’t 🤦‍♀️ we are all human and anyone can make a typo or transpose number. My brittle diabetic sister ended up on bed rest in the hospital and I ended up with 2x the kids and all with ADHD, Autism, FASD (adopted)… two 4 year olds, a 6 year old and a teenager..for the last 6 month of her pregnancy.

I canceled all unassigned swaps and got everything out on time…by the time mail, the swap in question, was returned I barely had time to breath fighting fires between the cousins meltdowns.

I never wanted to share this drama but keep getting dropped like a hot potato from new swaps so here is why that one happened.
