I'll have to give myself a lighter load here this next week for Meaningful Play Conference and some semester deadlines (why I didn't say thanks sooner). I snooped around in your Flicker and you have some very cool techniques.
Thank you for the compliments on my artwork. The background for Serengheti Sunset was pretty easy. Take a coated white cardstock. Emboss it (I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder because they have such a deep relief). Color it with distress inks (going from lightest to darkest colors). Then highlight with perfect pearls powders (the sun spot mostly). Hope this helps! :).

I have one question though : would you mind sharing how you do the effect like on your ATC "serengeti sunset" ? It looks very good on the scan and i bet it looks even cooler IRL.
