I just got back from spending the day with my 8 year old granddaughter. I have come to the conclusion that I am NOT as young as I used to be.
I hear you about the "empty nest". My kids are all grown, and I don't get to see them nearly as often as I would like! My girls are all in their 30's now. One lives in Southern California. One is in Minnesota, and the other one is in Arizona. I live in Oregon. :-(
I like to do ATCs, also. And, I'm getting into Zentangle. You should try it. It's actually pretty fun.

Congratulations for your sons being in college, especially since one is graduating with Army ROTC. Two of my cousins are in the ROTC program at school and they love it!
We have the same LOVES/LIKES and DISLIKES, I literally agree with everything you said. Well wrote haha.
I think it's cool that you make memory books. I make scrapbooks and sometimes I make the books on Shutterfly (I think that's the name, I forgot) cause I LOVE having pictures and videos. I have boxes full of saved memories haha.
Last but not least, I Love how you have the dates and write stuff like a personal blog. It's great! I need to try that sometime. :D
It had just started snowing when I left work yesterday, and it was already VERY slick. We are safe and warm inside today. Even though it hadn't snowed much overnight, my hubby made sure I didn't try to go to work - I would have been stuck there because once it started, the snow's been coming down fast!
