I'm quite fond of Mackinac Island as well, by foot or bicycle, but one can't separate its memory from the mixed aroma of chocolate fudge and horse manure--and of course all the lilacs during the lilac festival! :) I've always always wanted to visit Maine. I'm not fond of the desert either, having lived there 4 years. So many things to talk about! I look forward to visiting with you more soon. ♥
