Response: So glad you like it! It's fused dichroic glass. I start with a layer of black glass, put a layer of sparkley dichroic glass on top and then a layer of clear glass to seal it all in and add dimension. The glass is then fired in a kiln to 1450รยฐ F and then cooled and annealed. The whole firing process takes about 2 hours to heat and about 8 hrs to cool.
I absolutely love glass, whether it's melting it or making a stained glass suncatcher - I love every bit of it! I always put a lot of thought into every piece I create - it's a form of meditation for me.
